Coalville gymnastics club would like to wish the Coalville Ex Team the best of luck in the British Veterans Championships. The team consisting of Karen Edwards, Katherine Brand, Jemma Thompson and Katie Steele are hoping to regain their British Team title that they won in 2010 also last year Katherine Brand came away with an overall silver medal! All four girls are competing in the former's category in the over 19 age group. This years competition is held at the Leicester new college this coming Saturday (1/10/11) Good Luck girls.

Over the summer, have a clear out, make some space, in with the new out with the old.

Summer Recreational Classes will run for 3 weeks 1st August till 20th August then the normal classes resume after the holidays Starting on Monday 5th September.

Congratulations to all girls who competed in the grades competition on the 6th march. All girls passed their grades so a big well done to them all and their coaches, Layla Joachim brought home a bronze medal in the National 7 grade. Also due to other circumstances Ebony Birt will be going down to national finals as a reserve for the East Midlands teams taking place at cocksmoorwoods in April. 

Congratulations to Madison Newell who competed on the 6th of march in compulsory 5 grades, Madison won her grades and became East Midlands Compulsory 5 champion, with a score of 59.083.

Who competed at the Level 6 Individual Apparatus Competition in Leicester on Sunday 6th Feb

In the Age 8&9 we had Niamh Johnson she had a fantastic first competition winning Gold on all four pieces Well Done Niamh.

In the Age 10 & 11 we had 6 gymnasts Nicole Riley’s lovely Floor routine and super Vault gave her Gold on both pieces and a Silver on Bars

Emily Price did a fabulous Bar routine getting her a Gold Medal and Silver on Floor.

Bethany Bottrill did lovely Beam winning her Gold and a really nice Floor giving her joint Silver.

Maddy Wall did a really good Vault and Beam giving her Silver Medals on both pieces.

Cerys Brown and Sian Straw won joint Bronze on Vault.

Well Done Girls keep up the good work And a Special Thank you to the Coaches who worked hard getting them prepared for the Competition

Were looking for coaches to join our club! If you are an aspiring or fully trained Women’s artistic coach we’d love to hear from you!

As well as gaining valuable experience, volunteers will have the opportunity to improve their coaching level and potentially be offered a paid position in our club.
